For those interested in more info about selective/delayed vax
Dr. Robert Sears has a new book out on the subject. Anti-vaxers won't like it, because he does condone vaccinating, but he does give good information on each vaccine, including reasons why each you would coose to administer or skip each vaccine. DS has had most of his vax so far, although never more than 2 at a time, but we're coming up on his MMR and I have been having real trouble with this one. This book gave me some good insight and has helped me feel more confident in my decision to delay the shot.

Re: For those interested in more info about selective/delayed vax
I only give DS 1 shot at a time (and only 1 shot in a month). I skipped the Hep shot in the hospital. And I will NOT be giving DS the flu vaccine or the chicken pox vaccine (until necessary when he starts school). My dr. does NOT give the rotovirus shot b/c he said it is not necessary and it is not safe.
ETA: The reason I spread out his shot schedule was in part due to the autism scare from the shots, but mostly b/c I just dont think their little bodies can handle all those shots. I dont want to overload him when it's not necessary. I also have this option b/c DS is not in day care if he was I would have no choice.

ITA, and I have chosen my ped because she sympathises with my choices and complies with my requests, as long as I am not endangering my child.

I pretty much agree with all of this, too. Dr. Sears book is good, because his philosophy is pretty similar.
I'm debating giving the flu because DS is in group daycare. I didn't give the rotavirus and I plan on waiting on chickenpox, too.
