For those not finding out the sex
Truth time....I'm excited about the surprise that awaits us in the delivery room, but is is just me or are you totally sick of yellow and ducks and chicks! I feel like the only outfits that are safe for people to buy us are yellow and green and mostly yellow with ducks for some reason and the baby is not even here yet and I've had enough yellow already. The whole closet is yellow! I can't wait to inject some other colors into this kid's wardrobe!

We didnt find out the sex of the baby was when I was preggo, but I told everyone not to get us clothes and let my mom know to tell everyone coming to my shower I didnt want clothes as gifts for that reason. DH and I went out and bought a few boy and girl outfits just to have when the baby was born, then I went out and bought loads once I knew what the sex was. I hate green and yellow and all the outfits in those colors (IMO) are ugly. I didnt want any of the duck outfits too--lol I was sooo happy when I had my DD, so I could go out and buy PINK stuff.

I had my shower a couple of weeks ago and got a TON of duckie outfits!!!! And not only duckie outfits, but rubber duckies, duckie bath towels, duckie bathrobes......
You would think they'd come up with some other gender neutral animal!
But I still love all the tiny little clothes, duckies and all....

Everyone close to me knew that I hated mint green (No offense to anyone who loves it ) and also requested limited ducks. So I was pretty lucky that I got very little of both..I did, however, get a lot of yellow. But once the baby was born, PINK was everywhere you looked.

IMO, there are sooooooooooooo many outfits out there that have more color in them all the while remaining neutral (gray, orange, lavender, white, brown/khaki, etc). Personally, I like the yellows & greens much better. If I knew the sex, I wouldn't want to go with the usual blue & pink anyway.
ETA: I haven't had my shower yet, and haven't bought much for our lil one. So, I can't say that I'm sick of the lack on color in our baby's closet, because there's nothing in there yet.

Yeah, it didn't happen til after the shower. It's all cute. It's just funny b/c when I went to wash the stuff, it was one yellow outfit after the next after the next.

Justin still has some duck pajamas that he wears from my shower and he will be one on Sunday! I was still glad we didn't but OMG did we have alot of duck stuff!
