Re: For those of u who religiously worked out before your BFP!!!
I used to work out so much before getting PG. I was nice and thin. I still gained over 20lbs already and I'm not due until March. Granted I slowed down my workout but I don't think it made much of difference, but people say it will help post partum with weight loss after and during labor, who knows.

I worked out religiously before I was PG with my son. I was in GREAT shape, but I still gained 65 lbs with him!!! He was such a big boy though when he was born!

Re: For those of u who religiously worked out before your BFP!!!
I've worked out on a regular basis (4 - 5 times a week) for a LONG time, like 15 years. I'm just about to start my 20th week of pregnancy and I'm up about 11 lbs. I'm not really concerned though about how much I gain. I'm more concerned with eating properly and continuing to exercise so that I can deliver the healthiest baby possible.

Re: For those of u who religiously worked out before your BFP!!!
I have pretty consistly worked out before I got pregnant. Right before I got pregnant I did a 6 week bootcamp and lost some weight
I am only 24 weeks but I haven't gained too much weight outside my belly (last doc appointment it was 8 lbs). I still work out pretty regularly, but I had to alter my routine because I started running before I got pregnant and my doctor said I can't.
I also feel pretty good and have had a pretty easy pregnancy. I don't know if that's genetic or due to working out.

Re: For those of u who religiously worked out before your BFP!!!
Of course I am too tired to work out sometimes- but that was also before I got pregnant. Especially in the 1st trimester, I didn't go as regularly as I did before. For me, after my 1st trimester I moved from the city to LI- so that also screwed up my workout schedule.
What I try to do is 30 minutes cardio 3-5 times a week (eliptical machine/ bicycle/ walking). I also do a total body conditioning class/ body wedge class about 2x a week. I don't do abs- and some instructors modify the class. During my first trimester I was taking a semi-private pilates reformer/tower class (just 3-4 of us a class). The only real change is that I had to stop running. When I first moved to LI and when its not too cold- I try to go for walks in the morning before walk at a brisk pace. I usually walk about a 15 minute mile.
Just make sure your instructors know your pregnant- they will modify the workout for you.

Re: For those of u who religiously worked out before your BFP!!!
I worked out 5 days a week before I got pregnant - mostly jogging and pilates. After I delivered, I got back down to my pre-pregnancy weight without any effort at all (don't have time to workout now!) by 10 weeks. Now, at 13 weeks I'm about 5lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight. A lot of it has to do with breastfeeding, but I really think a big part of it is because I was in good shape before the pregnancy.
Edited to say, that although I continued to walk about 3 miles everyday during the pregnancy, and ate fairly well, I *still* gained 45lbs... but it came off really easy.

Re: For those of u who religiously worked out before your BFP!!!
I was thin, exercised, ate well, but once that m/s hit and exhaustion hit, I was done. I said goodbye to my size 4's a long time ago... I have been eating pretty good since 1st trimester no junk, empty calories, and still gain weight. No matter what I do or eat I still gain, at 22 weeks, I already gained about 20lbs. I am soo set weight gain is out of your control, your body does what it pleases!! I have a labor cushioin now :)
Hopefully it will come off easy pp
