for those of you who did a gender reveal cake
what did you write on top of the cake?
did you tell the bakery to dye the cake blue and pink according to what was in the envelope
and did you have a filling in the cake?

I actually made my own cake and did the gender reveal for my family. I wrote on the top of the cake
It's a ...
And dyed the cake inside to be blue for my DS so that as soon as they cut the first piece they knew we were expecting a

We had the baker do the filling in the color of what was in the envelop we gave them.....There is a picture of the cake in my album.
Its said....
Were having a ???????
The question marks are all over the cake pink and blue

I went to a bakery and gave them the piece of paper that my doctor wrote what we were having on. It was sealed in an envelope and we had no idea. I got to design my own cake, what flavor we wanted and what kind of buttercream icing we wanted. We went with a vanilla cake, chocolate icing and it was blue on the inside since we were having a boy. The top was filled with blue and pink flowers and she wrote on the top of the cake

The cake was delicious. It was just my husband and I who cut it and I video taped it. I always wanted to be team green however I had a rough pregnancy with tons of bad news so this made it better.

This is adorable! Do you make cakes for a living or on the side- I would love to have another option for a cake lady!
