For those of you who do not "glow" - but sweat buckets like a man....

What do you do to keep it out of you eyes when running?

I REALLY do not want to rock the 80's sweat band look, but I think I might need to. A hat makes me itchy on my forehead.

I was thinking of wearing wrist bands, so I can rub it away at least without looking like the biggest dork.

And, in case I look TOO attractive when running, my nose must be getting jealous of my forehead's productivity because it has it's own thing going with all the snot pouring out of me. WHERE is this snot coming from? It's like it waits for my run to come party.

For the half, I am going to need a whole seperate arsenal for all of my body fluids Chat Icon

What do you do? Am I the only one going through all of this? It affected my run this afternoon - my eyes were burning, my nose was going as mile a minute, and I was wearing a tight tank style running top since it was so nice out - I had to slow down and walk because of everything going on

I get the snot. Chat Icon More so when its cold so I have long sleeves on and can just wipe it on my sleeves (sorry, gross I know- we runners gotta do what we gotta do!)
My eyes also tear up in the wind...I just hvae to blink alot.

I dont really deal so much with the sweat, but the other two can be bad (and pretty dependent on the weather)

I've wiped my nose on my sleeve - I can't bring myself to do the farmer's blow yet! Chat Icon

Hat for head sweat. (I like the topless visor type, not so hot causing more sweat)
Wrist bands & long sleeves for nose drip. (gross but works) thats usually only in cooler weather.

Im no way graceful when I jog & I do sweat!

I use a thick, elastic headband to keep my hair out of my eyes and to block some of the sweat. Otherwise, I pull up my tank and wipe it off my face. I am an obscene sweater, so I feel your pain...

I use a very lightweight running ball cap. It absorbs a lot of sweat, but I still drip a lot. I just wipe it on my shirt lol.

I tried wristbands once, and it was so hot out...it made me feel like I was wearing a sweater! I took them off in the middle of the LI half last year and held them in my hand!

Even the little terry cloth ones?

yes, that's what I had! It was about 80 degrees that day and very humid, so that might be why. But they drove me crazy and I never wore them since. I would try it out on a practice run though.

This is why I carry a couple of paper towels during races. I wipe my forehead with one, and my nose with the other, throughout the race. They're both soaked by the time I'm done Chat Icon

I usually just wear a running baseball-like hat. Sweat still goes in my eyes when it is really hot and even though it bothers me, I am not sure there is much I can do.

I think you can get cute sweatbands at lululemon. They're not the old fashioned terrycloth kind. My husband still wears those. Chat Icon as far as snot goes, I've used the back of my hand in one of those thumbhole tops. Sometimes you just gotta.

I will check out lululemon. I'm assuming they aren't 100 bucks, like everything else in there...... Right? Chat Icon
