For those of you who found out the sex really early

Were they always right? We just found out we are having a boy at 12w5d. I am really wondering how accurate it is. The tech. seemed positive - but I know that the norm isn't for another few weeks.

I'm in the same boat as you.

We found out at the ultrascreen that it was a boy and then when I was in the ER for the bleeding, they also said boy.

So we are pretty confident that it is.

However, we aren't telling anyone or buying anything/registering until after the Level II, just to be certain!!

I have no info about this personally except a friend of mine had a tech tell her early on (about 12 - 13w) that she was having a boy. She had a girl.

BTW how was the ultrascreen?

My ultrasound tech said he was pretty sure it was a boy, but he said he wouldn't go out and buy anything yet. At my next appointment my doc was like, oooh it sounds like a girl. I was like I thought that was a myth. But she said that it's pretty accurate most of the time. Between her and the other 3 doctors they are right 75% when they guess the sex based on the HB.

I'm going to have another sono to find out for sure in a few weeks.

The same thing happened to my cousin last week. They told her they were 75% it was a girl. Then the next week at her doctors appt. they confirmed it was a boy. She's only 14 weeks.

This tech pretty much said that she was almost 100% it's a boy.

Who knows - I'm not going out and buying anything just yet - so I will wait a few more weeks and then hopefully know for sure!

I was told at my Ultrascreen at 14 weeks that the dr saw something and there was a good chance it was a boy. I didn't tell anyone and waited until my Level II to have it confirmed. But it was confirmed....

Is still so early I feel at 12 weeks but if they saw something I'd say there's a good chance for a

My bro and SIL at their ultrascreen were told probable boy , BUT the tech said it's still too early at that time, the bump could be a penis or a swollen labia.

Have to wait for the Level II to see if i will have a nephew or niece

I was told that if they tell you boy they are usually right on the money. Since a penis is a penis. I found out late 26 weeks with my first and they were right.
