for those that didnot return to work

how did you tell your company/boss once your 3 months were up and they were under the impression that you were returnign and now you are not ?

I didn't go back to my original company-i wound up getting a new one.

My boss called me towards the end of my leave to see what my plans were. I told her if I were her, I would start interviewing people. I gave her my resignation letter right before my leave officially ended.

Well not sure if this will help u but I told my boss orignially that I'd be back, but then felt guilty, and like 2-3 weeks ago I sat down w/him again and told him that I know I said I wanted to return to work, and I may, however I'm not 100% sure that I will and I cannot promise to him that I'll be here if I am not sure myself. I said I'm not sure how I'll feel after the baby is born and if we will definitely need the $$ or not.

I also said that of course I don't expect they hold my job, but I'd hope that if I needed one I could call and ask nicely...and if they have work for me great, if not, too bad for me.

They were very appreciative of my honesty instead of leaving them hanging...but of course, I had nothing to lose by telling them the truth.
