what do you use for storage? I'm interested in glass only since I don't want to freeze the food just yet. Thanks.

Sorry I can't help you with glass. I freeze mine in ice cube trays and then put in freezer bags.

Re: For those that make your own food

When I was making my own food for the babies, I was not storing it at all.

I know my girlfriend doesn't store food - but she does put it in glass baby food jars when transporting it anywhere.

Right, I'm not really interested in freezing it, just storing it for a couple of days. I want to make fresh fruits and veggies every couple of days, but for the time being, I was wondering what I could store it in. I thought about the baby food jars but I was wondering if there is anything else out there.

I use playtex (?) class bowls with plastic lids.

You can get them at BJ's etc. Just take of the lid and stick in the microwave for a 30 secs.

Oh ok, I misunderstood. I make big batches, but I do store some in the fridge. I use these little glass pyrex dishes that have lids on them.

Baby food jars are definatley your way to go. Do you want to hear what I used? Chat Icon

for single servings...not glass, but my mom worked for a doctor and I used to take the urine sample cups (STERILE, never used, of course!!!). Whenever I would use them , someone would always say "you know what that container looks like?" I was like, "YES, it is a urine sample cup" Chat Icon But they are the PERFECT size!!!!! Chat Icon

For the fruit sometimes I would make a bunch and put it in the fridge and use it in the span of a few days. I used a pickle jar Chat Icon

I use the small pyrex bowls to store my DS's food in the fridge too.
