For those who are potty training....some words of encouragement!
My DD is 2 1/2....will be 3 in October. For the past six months of so we have been casually talking about the potty and I try to get her to use it, but if she pushes back I back off. She understood everything, knew she would be rewarded, got the big girl thing, etc....but overall was just not ready.
Fast forward to yesterday. I decided to go right to underwear. Put her on the potty every hour. There were no accidents. She even told me when she had to poop and did it on the potty. Did the same today. Only one accident and took herself to the potty willingly. Poop two times after telling me she needed to go. We made a cake and had a party for her tonight!
So we are officially done with diapers during the day in a matter of two days. So my point of wiritng all this is to let other moms know that they really will just do it when they are ready. Give them the tools to do it, positively encourage it, but don't push it.

We did the same thing you did. Talked about for awhile and waited till we knew she was ready. At 27 months old we went straight to underwear, it took her 3 days (and only 3 accidents) to be day trained. We never pushed it, but we gave her stickers everytime she used the toilet. She then night trained her self at 33 months old. Potty trainning was a breeze with her. We are going to take the same approch with her little sister. I am hoping she will be easy too
