for those who had a miscarriage within the first 6 weeks???
I am sorry to be so blunt about this and if you dont feel comfortable answering me i totally understand but i am convinced i am miscarrying. I did have my first internal sono yesterday and know that can cause some spotting but i think this is too much.. here are my questions?
1) did you have cramps and how bad were they?
2) Did you bleed alot? Also what color was it?
3) How did you actually know you m,/c did you take a HPT? did you take a blood test?
Thanks so much i give all you ladies who have been through this a lot of credit and many

First, I'm so sorry you're going through this I miscarried at exactly 6 weeks in December. I only bled for 2-3 days and when the bleeding started I didn't have any cramps. I had a tiny bit of cramping right before I passed a little bit of tissue, and then after that the bleeding changed to spotting that went away within a day. The blood was bright red. I confirmed it was an m/c through blood testing until my HcG levels went down to zero (within 5 days of when the bleeding started). If you have ANY questions, please FM!

I have no insight into answering your questions, I just wanted to send you all my support and lots of hugs and prayers
The only thing I CAN say is that the only way to know for sure if you are miscarrying is to have more blood drawn and see if your HcG levels are going down... I believe that anything else is speculation unti you get a beta blood test done, since every woman is different and the things she experiences while miscarrying is different as well

Re: for those who had a miscarriage within the first 6 weeks???
I miscarried the day after my internal. I was bleeding when I went to the bathroom. Before I had been in the bathroom I had the feeling like my period was coming. I was in the middle of teaching as soon as class was over I ran to the bathroom and I was bleeding. It was NOT a little I was bleeding, definitely not spotting.
I had some cramps but not worse than my period. After first the bleeding was bright red, then as the days passed it became clumpy and then more brownish. I miscarried naturally and did not need a D&C.
I am sorry you are going through this, I know this has been an up and down rollercoaster for you. I would call your DR and DEMAND a blood test! I had to go for blood tests every other day until I was back to normal.
I will tell you what someone told me when I miscarried and it might help (not that much does I know) you spend 20-30 something years trying not to get pregnant and sometimes when you do for the first time your body goes into 'shock' not knowing what is going on and fights it. Then when you do conceive the second time your body knows what it is and is ready for it! Which is exactly what happened in my case! When I did decide to get PG again nothing was shaking my DD out of there. I even had a huge fall during my first trimester and she is still here. She even planted herself in such a position that there would be no way for me to push her out.
If you ever need to talk or need a shoulder please feel free to FM me anytime

Re: for those who had a miscarriage within the first 6 weeks???
I am so sorry you are even going through this right now.
i m/c'd at 5weeks 5 days, the day after my internal too.
I had cramps for about a day and half
I did not bleed alot at all. I only spotted for about 8-9 days, I wore a pantyliner. I passed clots/tissue the first 2 days. Blood was very red almost purple for about 5 days, the other 4 were mostly redish/brown
I knew in my heart I m/c'd when I saw the tissue and clots, along with the WORST cramps I ever had. I knew medically for sure when my second HCG test came back with a significant drop to 56 2 days after the bleeding started. The day I started bleeding though, the first blood test, the nurse said I will most likely m/c due to the fact my numbers were way lower than they should've been being almost 6 weeks.
Hope you are okay, my thoughts and prayers and lots of sticky vibes for you
Please, please please keep me updated Michele

Re: for those who had a miscarriage within the first 6 weeks???
First Hopefully everything will be OK.
I started spotting @ about 5 weeks so my Dr. did an internal and found the sac. Then I was still spotting at 6 weeks (always brownish, old blood the dr. said) and I had passed some tissue -- I was sure it was a mis. So I had another internal - and it was not a mis but they discovered twins! Still too early for a hb.
Bed rest for a week -- return to Dr. @ 7 weeks for an internal and there was only 1 HB...I wsa no longer spotting at all. Went back @ 8 weeks, no HB, D&C following day.
That was my experience -- supposedly the bleeding (sometimes heavy, usually brownigh) ws not related to the mis at all. Implantation bleeding, and bleeding from the internal. I believe the person who wrote about your body trying to adjust to this new thing is right. And when we do mis, I truly believe it is for a reason - perhaps the baby would not have developed well and your body takes care of itself.
Well I hope you are fine, please let us know....

Re: for those who had a miscarriage within the first 6 weeks???
I am so sorry you're stressing about this, but TRY to stay calm until you definitely know!
I m/c after 6 weeks, but I had an internal in which they saw only a sac and not heartbeat or developing baby. I had started cramping on a Sunday night, and went in on Monday AM first thing. That same afternoon, I started bleeding HEAVILY and the cramping was horrendous. It was worse than my normal AF cramps-I was doubled over in pain, crying from the pain and emotions.
I knew I was PG because I did take a HPT and did get a blood test done at my first visit. It was when I called them to say I had been spotting after about a week they brought me in to do another sono.
I hope this helps!

1) I had cramps from day one, I was told they are growing pains - saw heartbeat at week six. Cramps did not change between week 6 and week 9.
2) Didn't bleed at all until the night before D&C cause of the meds. they put me on
3) Found out at week 9 sonogram, no more heartbeat - dr. said size of baby was only 7.5 weeks in size.
Didn't think you could take a HPT since your body still has the hormones - it would give you a positive result until your level drop back down.
