For those who have a front loading washing machine
How much water in there in washing machine when washing?
I got my new machine installled this afternoon.
I see some water enough to wet the clothes but it's not "soaking" in water. I actually only see the "wet" clothes but no water.
I don't have a water level. It's automatic!
I had a top loading machine before so I don't remember what is normal or not.

That's normal. It automatically adjusts to how much clothes you have in there. I think it is a great feature.

Yup! They are super water and energy efficient. I have a top loading HE washer and I had the same questions when we first got it. It doesn't use much water at all compared to regular washers.

Most use less than 5 gallons per wash load. Of course, most vary the water depending on the load. Don't worry - your clothes will be clean and less wear and tear without the top loading agitators.

Thanks!!!! I got a bit worried. I can't see water in the washer so I was wondering if that was normal.
Good thing I asked before calling that I have a defective machine.

I have one of those too. Mine apparently "weighs" the clothes that's in there and adds water appropriately! Who knew?!?!? But I agree, at first, I thought that water wasn't going in but my clothes are always washed great and smell nice!
