For those who have a stand up shower: How do you clean your shower drain?
We recently remodeled our master bath and have a stand up shower. The drain cover is permanently grouted in so I can't take it off to clean to vertical drain pipe which is going to get moldy. How do you clean yours?

I never heard of cleaning a pipe. I clean my shower and the cleaner goes down the drain, which I assume cleans the pipe.  every once in a while, we need to pour draino down there to break up the hair that is stuck but i have never cleaned my pipes.

I have the same issue! I can see that under the drain part the pipe is getting gross inside.
I tried spraying cleaning products down there but it doesnt help. I was thinking maybe spray bleach down there????
Anyone I ask says I am nuts and who cares that the pipe is dirty

Really wouldnt worry about the 2-3 inches of pipe you will be able to get to for cleaning....the rest of the pipe is going to be just as nasty and the elbows in the pipes are what will have the build up so I would never worry about that few inches.

In any other shower I've never worried but the pipe is white and you can see mold on it....like you would if you kept bread too long. I'm thinking of getting a pipe cleaner or something to scrub it but I figured I'd come here for some other suggestions.

It just bugs me when I look down and see it.
I feel the same. I can see its white PVC and a little brown is starting to form and it bothers the $hit outta me. 
I will find a solution one day!
