For those who have endo and were able to get pregnant...
How long did it take to get pregnant on your own and for those that had IVF how long did you try TC on your own before IVF.
I'm 27 and have been trying for 5 mos. going on 6 now and the DR I was seeing gave me till May before seeing and IVF DR. My DH wants to try at least a year. Should I give it another 6 months?

Re: For those who have endo and were able to get pregnant...
I had endo surgery several years. My surgery was pretty extensive due to the damage I caused by waiting so long. Anyway I was told that I could have a hard time conceiving. I did conceive naturally on my 5th cycle. 2 cycles the old fashioned way, the 3rd charting and the 4th and 5th charting and using a CBEFM. My doctor did do the 7 DPO and CD3 blood work on my 4th cycle, but wouldn't do a sperm analysis or HSG until my 8th cycle. He said he'd normally wait a year but b/c I'd be 34 he'd see me earlier.
I think its a personal decision between you and your doctor, but honestly I think you could still give it some time. Are you using a fertility monitor?

Re: For those who have endo and were able to get pregnant...
I had laproscopic surgery for endo about 8 years ago. I had very intense symptoms (a lot of pain) but my diagnosis after surgery was mild endo. I was able to conceive on my second cycle off the pill, but the pill had seemed to do a very good of suppressing my symptoms (I have had virtually no pain since my surgery).
However, I did chart my cycles and I was going to go back to the doctor if I couldn't conceive after 6 months (I'm 30 right now).
Have you had laproscopic surgery? If so, what was your diagnosis? If it was mild, I could see waiting, but if it wasn't I would go with your doctor's recommendation.

Re: For those who have endo and were able to get pregnant...
I had surgery done two years ago to remove my endo. I then went on Lupron for a year to keep it surpressed. I got preggo on my second try.
Have you had a lap done to remove the endo? How have you been treated? You can FM if you dont want to post.
Sorry you have endo. I know how painful it can be.
