For those who have gone thru IVF
Can you tell me how much your anethesia (sp?) cost? We are in the process of considering places to have our IVF done and one place gives us a dollar amount and does not include meds (which I believe can be between 2-4k) and anethesia...I just have no idea on how much that can run.
Any info you could provide would be most greatly appreciated.

I've gotten quotes on anesthesia between $500-800. Some places may also throw in a hospital fee.
Good luck. Do you mind sharing which RE's you are considering. If this IUI does not work this month we are moving to IVF so I've been doing LOTS of research on different clinics.

I am down in FL so I don't think I am much help.
I was quoted from two places at 10,500 and another at 11,500 (plus meds and ICSI) however, I am starting to learn of this other place (I JUST learned about it this week) that will do IVF for $4500!!!! I looked into the places stats on the CDC website, checked into his records, checked out the labs, talked to some women who used it...so far so good! I am going to talk to them tomorrow and see if I can come in for a consultation.
I frequently chat on another IF board...a few women there say its sometimes cheaper, when paying out of pocket, to go to cheaper states and pay for airfare and hotel.
I am not saying this is right for everyone, but something I have thought about too.

My anesthesia was paid by insurance, but I believe the charge was $500.

at LIIVF (Mather Hospital) it was an $800 charge.
