Which did your DC prefer ??...I had a carrier type thing ( Graco-I believe) that a friend gave me and my DS couldnt stand it and it was a PIA to get on ( he was a big baby also)...Baby #2 is also going to be a big one supposedly...I havent invested in either yet and was wondering which you had better feedback of ...thanks

I have a New Native pouch, a Baby Bjorn, & a wrap. I'd say for the first year, my DD (now 14 months) preferred the wrap & so did I. I used the Bjorn & still do for quick shopping trips, but after about 15 lbs., it started to pull on my back & isn't all that comfortable. The wrap is stilll sooo comfy, but it is hard to use right now with bulky coats. I've been using the pouch more lately - my DD loves the side carry when we go out, but it still isn't as secure or comfortable as the wrap.

We only had the bijorn. It was the one with the extra back protection. It was a g-dsend for when DS was little. The pp is correct - after about 15 lbs or any length of time longer than 15 minutes my back would hurt. I still loved it. We were able to use it until about 13 months when DS outgrew it length wise. It can only carry up to 29 inches and 26 lbs. For a newborn I loved it. It was definately a great purchase for us.

I have the bjorn and thought I would love it, but I have only used it a few times and now DS is 16 pounds. It definately hurts the back after awhile. I think I would have gotten more use out of one of the sling carriers.

I have a Mamma's Milk sling and a Beco Carrier. DS is not a fan of the sling, but he loves the Beco! Even though the designs on the Beco Carrier are fun, the one downside is that he can't face front. DS doesn't seem to mind though...he likes facing me.
