For those who knew it was their last try

I have had negative HPTs and in my heart I believe they are right. Tomorrow is beta.

How did you survive the first day of knowing you will never be a mom?

I can't wrap my brain around it. I just can't.

For me, the day of my beta, I was bitter. I was so angry because everything we had done, everything i did to my body and our marriage was for nothing.

The next day was guilt. Because it wasn't just about me never being a mother. it was also about DH never being a father and not giving my inlaws grand Children.

Then after that? All heartache. I won't lie. Still, 3 years later, there are still days where I can't believe it will never happen and I'm sad. BUT I had this board and all it's support. Friends from this board IRL who helped me through the hardest days I had. And now, I'm mostly ok. Maybe motherhood is not my path and I have to be ok with whatever it may be.

I'm so sorry you are going Through this.
I'm hoping your beta says different tmrw, but knownif it doesn't - life really does go on. Just in a different way. The future you will be stronger somehow (I know it doesn't seem like it now) and whatever path this life does have for you, it'll be great. Embrace it

I am facing that myself.. Monday will be my final IUI.. after 3 fresh rounds of IVF and IUI's with donor sperm, this will be my last one before closing the door on it all.

I have no words of advice because each time, all I do is cry.. All I can say is that I hope your beta is positive and that you are surprised tomorrow...Sending you positive thoughts and hugs.

I had the same feeling, then, and still today about not being able to carry my own baby. Some days its a struggle especially since I work with OB-GYN pt daily and its in my face all the time. I came to terms with it slowly. It is a process and I realized there are other ways of being a mom, and I am looking those avenues. HUGS to you.

you have a beta already? I feel like you just went in for the transfer.

IVF was my last try for another baby. the 2nd cycle was my worst and my last b/c i was out of benefits and out of money.

those first few days were rough..not gonna lie. especially when on my FB feed people older than me (37) were having surprise pregnancies. Ughh.


but dont rule yourself out. and if this doesnt work, have you thought about fostering to adopt? Dont think b/c you are single that they wont allow to foster, because they totally will. and often times there are children in the system with their parental rights already terminated just ready for adoption.

please dont rule it out. giving birth to a child isnt the only way to be a mom.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I'm so numb that j couldn't remember my SS number at a TSA precheck appointment this morning.

They haven't called yet, but my HPT was negative again. I can't believe it's this late and they haven't called.
