For those who pumped......
Just curious about how much BM you express at every pumping--I have been pumping for 3 weeks now and the most I have been able to pump in one sitting is 7oz, however I average about 5oz most of the time. I'm curious as to what was the most you were able to pump and how long it took you to build up to that amount.
Thank you in advance!!!

Re: For those who pumped......
I would say it would depend upon why you pump (as an extra or a replacement feeding) and when. If you pump an hour after feeding you won't get as much as when you pump as a replacement feeding, which would be about three to four hours after feeding. The most I pumped was 8 oz, which was a replacement feeding. The most from an extra was about 6 oz.

I never pumped more than 6 ounces, I heard yesterday from work that she was more successful with the manual pump. Good luck

Re: For those who pumped......
I work full time so I pump at 5 am and then twice during work. I get anywhere from 2oz to 8 oz, using the medela PIS. Claire is 8 1/2 months old now. I think the time of day affects it too. At 5am I usualy get about 6-7 oz, at 12 pm about 6-7 oz and at 3pm about 3-4 oz. When she was smaller I did ge tless and had to pump more often to make up what was needed, but your body will catch up in time. Good Luck!
