For those who quit smoking.....
Did you feel depressed for a while afterward? I quit b/c I am pregnant and I just feel awful, I miss it so much, no physical withdrawls anymore, just emotional.
Thanks for your help all.

Congrats on quitting!! I don't know if depression is from quitting but I just wanted to tell you that I haven't touched a cigarette since Dec 2004 and it is the best feeling!! Keep it up, it does get easier!!

Re: For those who quit smoking.....
Congrats on quitting!! Keep it up!
Depression is a very common withdrawal symptom. That's partly why zyban & welbutrin work so well to help quitting (they are antidepressants). If you want to avoid drugs since you are pg, working out helps ALOT to alleviate depression from quitting. Either way, all your withdrawal symptoms will subside significantly within a month and every day gets a little easier so stick with it!

congrats!!! My mom is 3.5 weeks since her last puff. She still wants one so badly. She has been sleeping a lot and doesn't really want to cook or do much. But she is better this week then last week. Keep up the good work!!

Re: For those who quit smoking.....
Thank you all for the info, I get home from work and I sit my a$$ on the couch, so depressed, I have to keep busy. I just don't have the motivation to do anything at all. It has been 9 days so far.

Yup, I really miss it. I get that feeling for like a second before it passes and I can say it does get easier after a while. Congrats on quitting!!
