Re: For those who redid there bathroom?
we are redo'ing ours by ourselves (minus sheetrocking). But we got a quote for a standard bathroom (very standard) for 5,000.

Re: For those who redid there bathroom?
It depends on the materials you want to use so it's hard to get a ballpark. When all was said and done, I believe we spent somewhere around $12,500-13k for ours. The contractor was $6500 and the rest was material. Honestly, I think I'm in denial about how much we spent so I'm low-balling it a bit b/c it makes me feel better LOL
We gutted the bathroom, updated electricity, added 2 hi-hats, 1 exhaust fan with 2 vents, ceramic tile in the shower/tub area only, ceramic tile on floor, pedestal sink, toilet, cast iron tub, chrome faucets & accessories, medicine cabinet, 2 light fixtures & paint.

Re: For those who redid there bathroom?
DH did all the work himself. We have a small master bath in our room so it has a standing shower (enclosure), vanity with granite countertop, toilet, ceramic tile on the floor and in the shower walls, 3 highhats, sheetrock, and other misc. and it only cost $3000-$4000. We saved a ton by him doing the work.

Re: For those who redid there bathroom?
My neigborr just redid his. The guy charged him 8500 for the work alone, on top of the materials.
We just redid our small bath. Did it ourselves, spent about 3,000 on materials. Obviously saved all the $ for labor.

Re: For those who redid there bathroom?
DH demo'ed the bathroom down to the studs.
He sheetrocked. Slate tile in the shower and on the floor. 30" deep tub New vanity and sink. Wainscot on the walls.
The only thing he didn't do was th plumbing, which cost $500.
Our bathroom cost $4,000, nice!!!
If we would have had someone else do it, it would have been over 10K

Re: For those who redid there bathroom?
I had estimates in the 11K range for a small master bath with shower only from some of the well known bathroom remodeling places on LI. I ended up hiring a contractor who did labor only for 3K and we purchased tile and fixtures for about 4K (all Kohler and travertine marble). All total the project was around 7K and that was considered a deep discount.
