For those who were in a wedding while pregnant

Did you order a maternity dress or just a bridesmaid dress in a bigger size and have it altered? We are thinking about #2 but I am in a wedding in October. The girls are starting to look at dresses and I am trying to figure out what I will do if I am pregnant.

I was 8 weeks pg when my SIL ordered the dresses for her wedding. They ordered me 3-4 sizes larger than i would normally be on a non maternity dress. let me tell you, it was very uncomfy in it and i was 8 months pg for the wedding. I wish i made them order me maternity dress.

If you are not pg yet at the time they order the dress, i would just have them order you some extra material or 1-2 sizes bigger.

I was 12 weeks pg when I was MOH in my sister's wedding. We ordered regular size and they took it out as much as possible for me to stuff myself into it!!

i was 6 months preg with twins.. i got a larger regular dress i thought it fit nice.

I was 7 1/2 mos pregnant when I was a BM in my friends wedding last April. When I ordered the dress, she ordered it 2 sizes bigger and then altered it down to the size it needed to be. Make sure you get comfortable shoes!

I was a size 8 before I got pregnant. I ordered a regular bridesmaid dress in a 16 because I was going to be 8 months pregnant in my BF's wedding. I didn't want to risk ordering too small for the belly area.

They took it in a lot at the top, however..the belly JUST fit!!! I was so happy I did that and it worked out fine. If I had ordered 2 sizes bigger it never would have fit.

i was in one 7 months pg and the dress my cousin picked did not come in maternity so i just ordered reg a few sizes bigger

I'm in a wedding in September and we're planning on getting pregnant soon. We ordered a size 12 just in case.

We ordered a regular dress a couple of sizes up and it fit with no alterations. I was 5 months pregnant.

I was 8 months for my brothers wedding and we just ordered a much bigger size.

I ordered the largest size the dress came in. It worked out fine.

One of my bridesmaids was 7 months pregnant at my wedding. I never chose bridesmaids dresses and had just asked them to all pick out black dresses to wear. She ended up getting a black dress 1 or 2 weeks before the wedding in a few sizes larger at Estelles Dressy Dresses. She looked great.

i went from a size 2 to a size 12. i was huge... 7 months pregnant with twins.
they can always put a panel in if you need it bigger. dont worry.

Be careful not to say too much to the dress place if you plan to alter there. When I got my dress for my friends wedding, I mentioned that I had just gotten preggo.
Problem was, I was never "pregnant" (like with a belly) during ANY of my alterations, yet they charged me through the nose and did not cap alterations.
I should have kept my mouth shut!
