For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
How much does your DC sleep during the day when they are sleeping through the night? How many naps?

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
Hmm..my DD is sleeping through the night and I am thrilled, 2 nights in a row, lol! Well, each night it is ranging from 10-11 hours straight..during the day , she is napping about 2.5 hours in one stretch and another one hour cat and maybe a 45 minute really late day.. I wonder if this is too much sleep?? Since we have kinda nudged her out of a 5 hour straight nap, we kinda easily wake her , she is sleeping through the night..she kinda had her days and nights mixed up at one point. I dont ever wake her normally, only the last 2 days from that 5 hour stretch..

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
Emerson started sleeping through the night at 7 1/2 weeks.........she would sleep from about 10-8am. Around 3 months she cut out the last late bottle and has been sleeping from between 7-8pm until 630-7am every night without waking.
In all honesty, she is NOT a great napper at all. She'll go down for a morning nap every day about 2 hrs. after she wakes up and will sleep from 1 to 2 1/2 hrs. but to get her to nap throughout the rest of the day is hard. She is a cat napper and a light sleeper during the day. I try to get her down for at least one afternoon nap otherwise she is a little cranky pants by evening but it is hard to get her to take that afternoon nap. She really fights it even though she is exhausted.

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
Thanks Kristen, i am wondering if i should wake her from a long morning nap but maybe i will let her go the two plus hours and then take a small afternoon one?
Kameron has her last bottle around 7 and is out until 6-7am. She went out last night from 8-6. I fed her a bottle first thing this am and she threw it up! So, i wonder, hmm am i not suppose to feed her right away, lol. She is 14 weeks and taking about 32 ounces a day i feed her between 4-5 7oz bottles. Usually 4 7oz and one half bottle . Somedays she will take 5 bottles! She is over 13lbs and a strong baby. She eats like a maniac! I just want to keep her on track at nights..

DD takes 2 naps - she is 7 months. One in the morning from 1 - 2 hours and one in the afternoon for the same...
She goes down at 8:30 for bed and usually wakes between 6:30 - 7 am...

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
She sleeps 12 hours at night...
I can't really comment on her napping schedule right now b/c her molars are coming through and she caught my cold. So she is just off....
Before all this mess she was taking (2) 1.5 hour naps.
As of right now, she is taking (1) 2 hour nap.
I don't know if that's going to stay or go.... I hope it goes, and she goes back to her 2 nap per day schedule.....
ETA: She is 12 months old.

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
DS is almost 5 months. He takes about 2 naps a day- the length really depends. Sometimes he naps for 2 1/2 hours other times he'll wake up exactly one hour later.
This week, he changed his schedule completely. He went to sleep at 7 PM, woke up at 8 PM for cereal and was back asleep by 9 PM. I do a dream feed between 11-12 and he'll wake up around 6:30 AM.

You're welcome! Personally, I wouldn't wake her. My feeling is that they know how much sleep that need at this point in time. Waking her before she is ready will only make for a cranky baby. Waking Emerson before she wants to only makes my life harder.
As far as the morning feedings I know Kameron has reflux issues so maybe for her waiting a little might not be a bad idea but there is no way under the sun Emerson would let me hold out in the morning. She can't wait to eat. She has a 7oz. bottle then her cereal and fruit in the morning.
Around the same age that Kameron is I noticed that Emerson started eating like a maniac too. At one point she was up to like five 8oz bottles and was barely making it 3 hrs. in between feedings. It was nuts!! Right at 4 months we started cereal and Stage 1 fruits and veggies and she went right down to 7oz. bottles (4X/day) and she was SO much more satisfied..........she slept better and was happier throughout the day and now goes anywhere from 3-5hrs. between feedings. It's weird, with the solids she hardly spits anything up now too, not that she had reflux but she had her fair share of barf but I find the food keeps her formula down. Maybe it's a coincidence.

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
Bedtime: 7:30-8:00pm
Sleeps thru the night till about 7:30-8:00am
She takes a short 1/2 hour nap at around 10:30am.
Then from 12:30-1pm to 3:30-4pm is her long nap.
She's 8 1/2 months.

Re: For those whose DC sleep through the night-how many naps/hours do they sleep
DD is 16 months and sleeps about 11 hours a night. . She just moved into the toddler room about 2 weeks ago at daycare and she takes 1, 2 hour nap there.
On the weekends at home she either takes 2 short naps (around an hour long) or one long one for about 3-4 hours.
She must have been tires last Staurday though bc she slept for an hour in the late morning and then again from 2-6 pm and then went to bed for the night at 7:30pm!
