Why did you do it?
I was just thinking about this and the fact that I haven't changed my SN nor plan to.
Why did you?
Is there a benefit of sorts?

I won't do it. I have learned to curb what I post. Everyone in my life knows I am TTC or they assume I am because I am fairly newly married and an old fart.

Same here. I've become pretty reserved with what I post. I don't want to make up a new screen name... knowing me, I'd completely out myself then!

I did it because I wanted to keep the fact that we were ttc'ing just between me and DH. I have friends on here that I see in the "real world." I didn't think I would be on TTC for too long, and didn't want to announce anything on here before telling my family. But then I realized I had IF issues, I hadn't told anyone and wanted to keep it secret for awhile... However, it gets kind of confusing to have the two names and I have thought about "coming out," even under my "secret" name, I don't say very much.

Same here. I've become pretty reserved with what I post. I don't want to make up a new screen name... knowing me, I'd completely out myself then!
Same here...I know for a fact I would get messed up & not realize which SN I was on

Let's look at it this way..... for some of us LIF is our " couch" in the therapist office. Were we can spill our most intimate thoughts to a total stranger.
