What are the side effect you noticed with giving the prednisone?

Eating like a pig!!!! Watch out for that!! They gain the weight so quickly and its hard to get it off them..

My dogs were constantly thirsty and of course that made them have to pee a lot as well.

I had the same experience with my dog. Excessive drinking and peeing.

definitly excessive drinking, peeing and alot more energy...not sure what your using it for but it really works wonders...i have to give to my dog ever autumn for allergies...he would constatly eat his feet uncontrollably and usually within a day of giving it he would stop

Food obsession. Rocky has been on temaril p since we got him. For awhile he gained weight but now since his diet he has lost 5 pounds (down to 34). He stalks his sister when he is hungry so the vet gave us a list of veggies and fruits we could give him.

he drank a ton of water. I took prednisone too and was also sooo thirsty!

Our dog had an enlarged spleen so they put him on 20mg of prednisone and he's so hungry and thirsty that he wakes us about every hour of the night. We try to feed him a little before we go to bed and again in the middle of the night but it doesnt help. Any suggestions?

Yep and was whining for food constantly. My girl had her first and only accident on a high dose of preg. You have to be on top of the water/ peeing situation.
