For those with low ovarian deserve, produced low number of eggs, How many IVF did it take you to get pregnant and how many did you out back in?
This board gives me hope. I have low ovarian reserve and one ovary. I'm going through first IVF with transfer right now. Last year did two IVF and froze 5 embryos- hAd to bc I was having ovarian surgery.
Also how many did you decide to out back in? I'm 39 turning 40 in Tom months and I'm Undecided.
Thanks for any advice-info.

Thank you for responding. I'm turning 40 next month and am planning on putting 2 back so hopefully ill get a nice birthday surprise..,,

I had 2 fresh IVF cycles. The 2nd one took - my DD is 13 months old now! I had put back all 3 of my embryos (only had 4 retrieved, the 4th wasn't doing well). I was 40, and turned 41 a month before I had her.

I'm in similar situation. Looks like 4 will be retrieved but one looks too big so it may be three. I'm nervous to out back 3 in case all 3 take. What made you decide 2 vs 3 if you don't mind me asking? I'm turning 40 next month and am definAtely putting back 2.

I was 37-38 when I was doing IVF. I was getting 8 embryos everytime that were supposedly GREAT. I did 5 total FRESH IVF cycles. Two of them Failed, Two of them I had miscarriages & the 5th cycle I had my twins.
At 40 years old, I say put back in whatever you can. You also have to remember just because they retrieve 3 embryos, they may not all be of quality to transfer. With the cost of IVF...do what you can.

I'm glad to read this.
I'm 38 (turning 39 in 3 months) and doing my first fresh IVF in September. My husband and I are having the "two vs. three" debate... We don't know what to do, I guess I'll see what their quality is when the time comes and we'll decide.

I just did my first fresh cycle not sure if you saw and we decided to out back the 3 that made it. All three were grade BB which is pretty good. 1 was a 6 cell 2 were 4 cell. I got a BFN. I only wanted to do two but the doctor suggested to out back the three. Def discuss with your dr. ;)
