for those with PCOS - have i got a ttc success story for you!!

ok, i LOVE this story!!!

one of my good friends had not menstruated in 3 YEARS . she had attributed it to being a runner and having very low body fat, and basically thought nothing of it... until she got married this past spring, at which point she and her DH decided that they wanted children sooner rather than later (he is a bit older).

so she goes to the OB, who starts a whole workup to figure out why she isn't getting her periods. she gets all of her bloodwork back, and it is all basically normal... but still no period.

so then he puts her on the 'progesterone challenge' to see if she will bleed... and she still doesn't bleed. by now she is totally freaking out. she's moody, her boobs are sore, and she is cramping, and she attributes all of this to the progesterone.

3 weeks after finishing the progesterone and still not menstruating, she decides to take a pregnancy test. BFP!!!!!

she is 7 weeks, 5 days today by ultrasound. basically, she ovulated completely randomly and the planets all aligned and now she is preggers!!!!!! during the ultrasound it was discovered that she has polycystic ovaries... but it all worked out.

i am so happy for her
