Re: Forest City Park in Wantagh
OMG I used to go to the pool there like everyday when I was a kid. I wonder how it is now. Maybe I should take DD over there!
I realize this was completely unhelpful, sorry! If I get to go, I'll let you know how it is.

I live down the block, a lot of times I will pack DS' lunch and walk down there and play on the swings, watch the ducks etc.
For some reason I don't think it is one of the levittown pools...not sure though!

Oh that's one of the parks where I teach. I would hear "Hi Mrs. M_____" if I went
BTW, I ran into a student at the Riverhead outlets once and my old principal heard that as she came down a water slide at Disney

Re: Forest City Park in Wantagh
I went today to check it out -- it is a ToH park so you must pay a yearly fee ($209 per family I think) or else $3 for kids and $6 for adults each time you go. You can bring visitors wiht you and they pay the same amount.
THere was not ONE person in the pools when I went!!
It looks so clean and quiet, I loved it -- but, my mom's pool is free. And as far as parks, we have a NYS Parks pass so I like to go places where I can take the dog...

Re: Forest City Park in Wantagh
where is it? Is the pool anything like the pool at Wantagh park?
ETA: Do you need to be a resident of Town of Hempstead?

I haven't been to Wantagh Park. There are 2 or 3 pools - one is a kiddie pool. They are clean and as I said there was nobody there, so I imagine it doesn't get very crowded.
Yes you must be a ToH resident. Or, the guest of someone who is a ToH resident and is there with you.
