Forgive me LIF, for I have sinned.
Its been a long time since my last confession as I am Jewish...
However, I have sinned and I need to let it out. The lovely girl who sits next to me has had extensions and I keep telling her how lovely they look, and how natural they are (they are bright purple) I adore this girl, she is my colleague and she is lovely, but the hair. Its a no no. I am finding myself telling her how nice it looks and you know what...I am lying. It looks like a rat took a nap on her shoulder...a bright purple rat.
Anyway, wanted to let it out.
What is my penance?

I am a Jewish also so this is kind of the blind leading the blind but I am almost positive you do not end a confession with love.

I'm a "recovering Catholic" here so I can only help you so much.
Nah, you don't say "love" at the end of a confession to a priest... especially not these days.
I'll have to get back to you on the penance you should serve... maybe buying her a GC to a salon to get a more "suitable" color for the office.

Raised Irish Catholic... 12 years of Catholic school, Dad's a Knight of Columbus and my aunts and uncles practically run their parishes... yeah, they are   over me.
Oh and it gets better I married a "nice Jewish boy". I tell them, "Well, Jesus was a nice Jewish boy for his first thirty years"

Stop praising her and take her out to lunch and set the record straight. Wouldn't you want someone to be honest with you?

SHE THINKS SHE LOOKS GREAT. I am not going to tell her otherwise. She might tell me how truly godawful I look on a daily basis, and goodness knows I wouldn't want that.
Mental note...log off of LIF tonight when I Leave the office.
