Fortunoff return policy
I am cleaning out my closets and decided that I want to return a few things that I registered for (back in 2005) that have never been taken out of the box.
Do you think Fortunoff will give me a credit?

Re: Fortunoff return policy
They *might* let you return it but they will definitely give you a hard time about it.
My experience and my MOH's experience was that they made returns VERY difficult!

Re: Fortunoff return policy
I think you only have until 90 days after the wedding to return registry items.

Re: Fortunoff return policy
I just called them and they said I could talk to a manager. The problem is that I don't feel like carrying these items there (they are pretty big) if they aren't going to let me return them.
Oh well - I guess I'll see tomorrow.

Re: Fortunoff return policy
Change your wedding date on your online registry to a month or two ago, then bring them in and you can return them for store credit...unless they have been discontinued, then you are stuck with them. This is what I did two years after my wedding to return stuff!!

Yup, that's what I did about a year ago.
I had a toothbrush holder that was still a current item, but I had never used it. DH has an electric toothbrush that wouldn't fit, so it was pointless to keep the holder.
They wouldn't even let me EXCHANGE it because my wedding was a year past. So, I changed the date on the registry and went back the next day. I told them it was an engagement gift. They took it back since my wedding "hadn't happened yet"...
You'd think they'd be more logical and just take current merchandise back without raising hell about it...

GET OUT! I can really do that? The original wedding date isn't in the computer?

Once you go online and change it, all they see is the new date.
