Found a few boxes of Lipton Onion Soup in the pantry...
What's your favorite recipe to make using it?

I have heard you can use it to dredge chicken cutlets in. I did it once and DH was eh about it but I liked it.

When making hamburger patties, my parents always add it.

Put a roast in the crockpot, pour a can of cream of mushroom soup and a packet of onion soup mix over it, cook all day. Pot roast with mushroom/onion gravy.... it's really good!

I dice potatoes and mix with a little olive oil and soup mix (I add more garlic, parsley, etc) and then bake on a sheet pan at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.

I make "french onion chicken cutlets". Coat the chicken with egg then dip it in a mixture of the onion soup mix & breadcrumbs the fry them.

I add it to hamburgers.
The potato recipe on the box is really good too.

I think my mother ruined me with this one... it was as much of a staple in the fridge as milk, butter and eggs
Thanks for the other suggestions. I saw the potato recipe on the box, definitely will try that.

Re: Found a few boxes of Lipton Onion Soup in the pantry...
Found this while I was looking through the crockpot recipes...not mine but I am going to try it...
Cranberry pot roast
I also add cut up red potatoes and whole baby carrots to the crock pot after an hour or so!
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix 1 (3 pound) beef chuck roast 1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce 2 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
..DIRECTIONS 1.Place onion soup mix in the bottom of a slow cooker. Place roast in the slow cooker, and top with cranberry sauce. 2.Cover, and cook 8 hours on Low. 3.Remove roast, and set aside. Set slow cooker to High. Whisk together butter and flour, and slowly mix into the liquid remaining in the slow cooker to create a thick gravy. Serve with the roast.

DIP!
I've also had that lipton soup and apricot jam chicken and it was really good. I'm sure it's on the lipton website. Sounds weird but it was like a glazed baked chicken. Pretty good.

Re: Found a few boxes of Lipton Onion Soup in the pantry...
I take a whole chicken, and either some diced potatoes, or small red potatoes and put them in a roasting pan, sometimes I'll put some carrots and onions in there too. Then I drizzle some evoo over it all and sprinkle a packet of the onion soup over everything (get inside the bird too) and bake it covered, then take cover off last 15 min to chrisp it up... Its soooooo yummy. Can do the same with the powdered ranch dip too!!

It tastes really good on pork tenderloin or pork roast too - just rub the pork in it and crock pot or bake it.
