Found the issue - I have updated for anyone interested in Graph Search (which will be in place for EVERYONE soon) Facebook Help Please

I clicked on some link which changed my search bar. I hate it. How do I get it back to the way it was?

While there may be temporary workarounds to remove yourself from Graph Search, eventually everyone on Facebook will have Graph Search. We're actively looking at feedback and are looking to address issues, like the ones brought up in this thread, by making changes to the product. In the meantime, here are clarifications to some of the concerns raised in this post.

1. "There isn't a Search bar any more!"

There is still a search bar. Click on the space that says "Search for people, places and things." This area functions in the same way as your old search bar.

2. "It's too hard to Search by name for a person!"

You can still search the same way you did before you got Graph Search. Click on the space that says "Search for people, places and things" and type in the name of the person you're looking for.

your search bar within facebook or your search bar for your browser?

Does it say anything as the manufacturer (e.g. Ask toolbar)

I was trying to search for a long ago friend and when it pulled up the list of "hits" it had a different search function which I clicked on -- maps maybe? I though it would allow me to narrow the "john smith" search by town. Instead it gave me a new search bar which allows me to search my friends by interest but has changed the look of my page
