but it gets better..... i open my e-mail today and got this email from the church of scientology in NYC:

"Dear Jes,
I want to see you at you earliest opportunity to go over the results of the personality test that you submitted online. I have some very valuable information regarding your personality and how it is effeccting your life. When can I expect you?
Sincerely,
Jessina"

Is it me or do some of the comments that Scientologists make seem kind of unsympathetic and that everything can be changed in life by your state of mind?

Re: found this interesting/scientology

My bosses are scientologists - for a period of 6 months, all new hires were required to take that very same personality test!!!!! (I bet you can figure out of those people took the job or not..... Chat Icon)

One time, I'd had enough. I actually came out and said "I ALREADY HAVE A RELIGION, AND I WOULD PREFER NOT TO ACQUIRE ANOTHER" - and they stopped pulling the scientology crap with me. Chat Icon

that's exactly right! The alcoholic can be healed, those with palsy can be healed, they just have to WANT to be healed. Chat Icon

It's a load of crap.

And there is no such thing as "reasonable" to a scientologist. According to them, there should be no reasoning - things are as they are. (for example, a Dr. in my office went to the boss and said "excuse me, I have 40 patients on my schedule today. It's physically impossible to treat them with the care I normally give because I'm only here for 6 hours."

And the response? : "Stop trying to reason. Your schedule says 40 pts, you will treat 40 pts. Can't argue with what the world gives you."

lol - that Doc responded, "The world DIDN'T give me that sched - some looney practice owner did!" hahahaha he quit that day.

I used to like Jenna Elfman, but after that comment, I don't know. AIDS is a state of mind? But oh yeah, so is post-partum depression.

I didn't know that becoming a Scientologist made one an expert on psychiatry and medicine. Chat Icon

Ok, this sounds freakishly familiar to me, you wouldn't happen to work for a physical therapy office, would you???

I used to have to walk by the "Church of Scientology" everyday on my way to work in NYC. They were recruiting non-stop!!! NOw they have their prayer stations in Port Authority!!!Chat Icon I just can't imagine being so completely out of touch that I could be taken in by this cult.

Jenne Elfman apparently is an idiot. I guess I need to add her to my boycott list.

Re: found this interesting/scientology

These people are really out of their minds. I love how they call themselves "scientologists" as if to imply there is something scientific about their beliefs. In reality, it couldn't be further from the truth.
