Foundation Help!
I have a maybelline mousse foundation that i love BUT it photographs so PALE - i think maybe b/c it has a lot of titanium dioxide in it  i think that can make that happen in photos....
can anyone recommend another cheapie foundation  that doesn't make you photograph like casper?
ETS: i can't use any mineral make up

its not cheap really- but its super easy= bare essentuals- and it photographs beauifully! I think the kit is around $50 at sephora
i never tried the E.L.F. version but that kit is $20 on their website if you want to go cheaper gl

Have you tried to use Smashbox PhotoFinish underneath your foundation? I absolutley love that stuff. It even fills in the llines. It's about 40 bucks though?
I've used Maybeline, the one with the moisturizer and foundation in one and I like it.
I've tried the ELF tinted moisturizer and it's god, just not sure how it photographs.

ooooo sorry! My sister who is really pale uses a mouse foundation from estee lauder that she really likes- around $30 but it lasts a while

I cant recommend anything but i heard from a reliable make up person that your foundation can be up to 2 shades darker than your skin ( not a noticable amount darker, just a tad). If you match the exact skin color and foundation, it tends to make you look pale. ( at least it does for me) HTH

well i'm a bare essentuals fanatic..i don't touch my face w/anything else...but before i used b.e. i used neutrogena...i was always happy w/it.. i used the liquid one to help keep ur skin clear...i forget the name but i know it stated that on the lable and it contained salcylic acid...like i said i haven't used in in a LONG time..
and just an fyi: b.e. foundation is $25 for a jar, but it lasts SO long...atleast over 8months w/regular use when u do it the right way..and it never expires because it doesn't hold bacteria 
so really in the long run it's not really expensive because u hardly ever have to refill it..hth

I just started using Bare Escentuals and OMG what a difference it's made on my skin. It makes me looks polished without looking over done and the coloring matches me perfectly. I haven't taken any pics with it yet but when I do I'll let you know how it comes out.

KimberlyScott - do you find that the photofinish is hard to get out of the pump bottle after a while??? I have a ton left in my container and I have to open the pump up and scoop it out to get it - very annoying!!!
Taryn - is it true that mineral makeup photographs funny? like the crystals in the minerals can attract light and you might look all sparkly in pics?? That is what my wedding makeup artist told me and so I didn't wear it that day ...
I got your FM, I wish you worked at the roosevelt field BE store!!! How far is the queens store from there???

honestly it probably depends on the makeup...if it's cheap and contains too much mica, that's probably the issue being that mica is light reflecting. i CAN tell u that bare minerals photographs GORGOUS..i use it on all my brides and wear it myself for photoshoots & such..and everyday? forget about it...everyone thinks u have flawless skin 
the key is topping it off w/mineral veil it really adds that polished airbrushed look...to me, if u don't use that on top it just doesn't look the same.. if cassandra(rockysgirl) has any wedding photos up u can see it there...i did her makeup...or if ur friends w/me on facebook or myspace...all my recent pictures..i'm always wearing it! lol..i'll see if i can dig up some photos..

btw - queens center is such an easy ride because it's literally right off the expressway! there are some AWESOME stores in there..the mall is HUGE.make a day of it & come! lol.

Try the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse. It's the same as the product you're currently using but in a liquid form. It covers beautifully.

I have the same problem with mineral makeup. I use Clinique's foundation/powder and because it is fragrance free and very gentle it works for me!

I also am allergic to mineral make-up, and a lot of my friends have tried Bare Escentuals and broken out b/c of it. I'm a huge fan of Presciptives Virtual Skin make-up! Oil free and makes you look flawless.
