Frances Bean Cobain Gets Married But Fails To Invite Courtney Love
Proceedings were kept so quiet that not even her Mum, Courtney Love, was aware that it was Frances’ big day.
Instead, the 23-year-old is believed to have given Courtney a quick call to let her know she’d just got hitched shortly after the ceremony.
Unsurprisingly, the Hole singer is believed to be ‘sad’ about the whole thing.
A source told The Mirror: “Frances is totally loved up with Isaiah, but she’s never been one to broadcast it to the world.
“She only invited a close circle of friends to the party, and then phoned her mum afterwards to tell her the good news.“
Things have been frosty between Frances and her Mum since 2009 when she applied for her Dad’s, the late Kurt Cobain, mother Wendy O’Connor, and aunt, Kimberly Dawn Cobain to become her legal guardians.
However, four years on and the pair are believed to get on a little better now.
“Courtney and Frances have had a strained relationship over the years, but after tons of fallouts they actually get on quite well now. Courtney is sad she wasn’t there but she totally understands that Frances is her own person and she’s happy to let her do her own thing. Plus, Isaiah is a really nice guy,” the source added.
Courtney and Kurt had a similarly low-key wedding inviting just eight friends - the groom wore his pyjamas because he was ‘too lazy’ to put on a tux.
Like father, like daughter eh? It’s unconfirmed whether Frances too wore her pyjamas.
