Re: Franklin Square school district?
It's ok. The elementary school I heard was better than the HS. If we could stay in FS - I would have wanted to be looking more towards Valley Stream North SD.
If there's specifics like grades, etc. that you're looking for I believe there's a few posts with links to sites that give that info.
Keep in mind (as I'm sure you already know) - you'll hear negatives and positives of any SD.
Good luck in your search!

Re: Franklin Square school district?
Lori is right. SD#13 (Valley Stream North- located in FS) is better. But the FS district itself is very good. Washington Street School is great (I have friends with children there and they love it).

We probably won't be needing the HS - but we might be there for 5-10 years (garden city south) so the baby would be going to the Washington street school.

I used to work in the high school & it was very strong academically. I would send my kids there. Good class size, experienced teachers, disciplined & safe environment, plenty of AP classes offered. The expectations of teachers were very high.
