FREE-Baby Rabbits need homes!

DH and I *thought* we had 2 males, or so we were told Chat Icon Chat Icon

We now have 5 baby rabbits that need to find new homes.

I have pics available and I'm located in Ronkonkoma.

If anyone is interested let me know. DH and I want to make sure they are going to loving homes and that they will be properly taken care of.

TIA!

Re: FREE-Baby Rabbits need homes!

Just wanted to throw out there to anyone interested, that pet rabbits cannot survive if they are let free (such as if someone takes one in then decides they don't want them anymore and sets them free). So anyone taking one in needs to be sure they are going to provide a lifelong home or such. Chat Icon

eta - I also wanted to add to be careful when giving away animals for free, b/c there are freaks that will take a free animal and use it as bait, etc. And hoarders will take free animals as well. So please be careful, esp if you post free rabbits on Craigslist.

Just a thought, but before I was a stay at home mom, I was a teacher, debating on getting a class pet, like a rabbit. Never got to researching it but you may want to post on the teacher's board.

Again, the importance of who you give these animals away to is so important. It may seem like a lot, but home checks, vet references and a small donation fee, will help you to weed out any questionable applicants. Good luck!

Goobster- You are a great animal advocate & I don't know much about rabbits but you may know if they make good "class pets." Feel free to weigh in on this matter!
