I would love to take one! I'm interested in the temperament too....and if it would get along with Casey and the 2 cats ......and if it needs tons of attention since we both work during the day....

!
well, i havent seen them in person yet and they are still very young.. i am guessing their snout just wouldnt be as pushed in. but they should still have big eyes...since Chis also do...
and they would stay the same size since Chis are smaller. chins are already small though

Jes: I am glad that you might be taking them. I just PMed Jules on the other board & she seems really distraught that the woman is not being attentive to the pups.
BTW: My mom has a Japanese Chin. They are very cute and small, but do need a lot of playtime and room to run around. Also, they are very loyal but definitely have a favourite human. The grooming is a bit much, and they need to be brushed daily if you let their coat grow long. Also, male dogs need to have their bellies shaved on a regular basis to keep that fur from getting too long or dirty.
All in all they are great for pets, and make wonderful companions.

they can have barking fits, and they can be a little yappy, but not too bad. Noises and movement can spark a fit - like a moth flying past the window. Usually if we have a chew toy handy we can distract him & stop the barking.
