Frequency of OBGYN visits in 9th month...
I know once we hit our 3rd trimester we start going 1x/week. But are we supposed to be going 2x a week towards the end of it? I think I remember hearing that somewhere...

Once I reached my due date I went 2x-3x per week. They were monitoring the baby and checking me to see if I was making any progress.

I've been going about 2x a week now (39 weeks) only b/c my blood pressure has been a little high all of a sudden and they are monitoring both me and the baby.

I go every two weeks now (i am almost 31 weeks) and the weekly visits start at week 36.

basically its all just a guideline..you doctor will decide what is best for each patient. The norm is once a week...Ive been going once a week since 32 weeks...

I have been going every 2 weeks up until now (36 weeks). I am now going 1x a week. My dr was originally going to let me go another 2 weeks before seeing her again, but since I have protein in my urine, she wants to monitor me. So, 1x a week it is for me!

i think i read from your other posts that you use Dr H as well right?? I've been seeing her 1x/week since 33 wks but only bc i had some complications. for some reason i thought that around 38/39 wks u go 2x a week...i dont know where i got that info from though...oh well!!

Hrm- Maybe they do start with 2x a week then. I just made my appointments for the rest of the my pregnancy a few weeks ago and they didnt say anything to me about going 2x a week- but maybe it depends on the situation?

It's once a week unless there are reasons of concern. Insurance won't cover multiple visits unless you need them. I had to have fetal monitoring done so I did go 2x a week, but otherwise would've only gone once. After you hit the due date, you can go anywhere from 2x a week to daily! (My mom went daily during the secod week she was late with my sister).
