Fresh Direct question
Do you tip the delivery people?

Re: Fresh Direct question
And how do they bring them to you? Boxes?
If so, do they take the boxes back?

Re: Fresh Direct question
We tip $3 on each delivery. We live on the eh 3rd floor but have an elevator.
They bring everything in boxes and live it like that. I recycle the boxes after I put away all the groceries.

Re: Fresh Direct question
They deliver the food in boxes. The frozen food will usually come in a separate plastic bag, so you know that you need to deal with it first.
We usually tip around $5, which generally works out to $1 a box for us since we order a lot of bulky stuff. I love Fresh Direct. I used their heat & serve hors d'oeurves when I hosted Christmas and again for a party this summer. They were a big hit.

Re: Fresh Direct question
i've never used it, but my friend in Manhattan LOVES it. she says she always gets the best produce.... probably they make sure they give you the best since you can't pick it yourself and they want you to use the service again...
question: are the prices the same? can you use coupons?

The prices are slightly higher for some items, but things at the grocery store in Manhattan are overpriced to start so it's not much of a difference. I don't think you can use coupons though.
