Fresh peas
My neighbor brought over a ton for me this morning and I'm not sure what to do with them. Any recipes or suggestions?

Fresh peas
DH and I are not fan of peas. Some ideas though: -pea soup -pasta with pancetta and peas -add peas to penne alla vodka -orecchiette pasta with peas, ham and cream -rice balls w peas mixed in ground beef or sicilian rice ball casserole -combine peas and mint to make a pesto -pasta bolognese

Thanks! DD and I both really like peas so I use frozen ones all the time. I'm just not sure if there's anything special I need to do with fresh ones or any ways to make the most of the fresh flavor. The pesto sounds good though!

Re: Fresh peas
If you are used to frozen peas, just Blanche the ones your neigh or gave u.
I make a quinoa salad w blanched peas, chopped spinach. Then I grill chicken that's been marinated I lemon and tarragon. Add pine nuts slightly toasted w garlic and olive oil. Mix and eat.

Re: Fresh peas
I make a fresh pea soup with frozen peas-it's light, but a very good appetizer in the spring/summer. I think it would be great with fresh peas.
I don't have the exact recipe right now, but it is similar to this:pea soup

Fresh peas
I love pasta, peas and pancetta. Cooked al dente with shaved Parmesan cheese and a glass of wine. Soooo good.
