frozen baby carrots?
Are they safe for Abby?
She likes them but I get so nervous I take them away from her.
Im sooo scared shes gonna bite a big piece up and choke on it...she doesnt have all her teeth in yet ?
I even break up her treats still

Re: frozen baby carrots?
Ask the vet or a trainer. I know that some people give frozen baby carrots as a teeething aid. I never did also b/c I was afraid of them choking.

If she is teething I did see this awesome toy in Petco it is a bone that you dip in water and freeze and if comes in different flavors.

Re: frozen baby carrots?
i was told to give frozen to molly - she gets atleast one day. molly plays with it for about 20mins and then eats it.

Re: frozen baby carrots?
our vet tells us its great that we give louie (and did when he was a puppy!) all kinds of veggies - frozen and unfrozen...apparently they are easy to digest and good for him (and low on calories!)...
he is such a "green" dog and loves cucumber peels the best...werid, huh?

Re: frozen baby carrots?
Sorry - I was just away - that's why it took me so long to respond. We were giving her frozen carrots since she was about 10 weeks old. Just watch her and see how she is with it. If you feel that she is going to swallow it whole then don't give it to her.

Re: frozen baby carrots?
maybe you could give her a frozen normal sized carrot? She could chew on it like a bone....
Norton eats the baby ones from the fridge.....he chews them first, but he's big.....

Re: frozen baby carrots?
we give ours who is a shih-tzy frozen baby carrots, she absolutely loves them and chews them up good...if you want to try it just keep an eye on her and see how she is with it, its good on mookiees teeth since shes teething and supposed to be healthy for her too
