Fruit Basket - Person who passed away was Jewish
Is a Fruit Basket an appropriate item to send to family?
Any specific guidelines as to what kind of fruit?
Any other items to include?
TIA

Yes, that is very nice. When sending food its tricky if the family is Kosher so fruit is perfect. I would do a nice basket or even an edible arranagements (they have sympathy ones) sorry for the loss

Yep! Dried fruit basket may be nice too. When you are sitting shiva, you get so much food so it's nice to have food that can last a bit longer. But regular fruit is very nice too!

Fruit is 100% appropriate.
I know most edible arrangements are kosher certified if that is something you were looking at to do.

just an FYI DD and entenmanns are both kosher and allowed in Temples. If they are not ultra religious.
Fruit is always good
