FSH level...

What is a normal FSH level? is there a range of where it should be according to the time of the month?

What if you are not on a regular cycle?

Re: FSH level...

What if the blood work is not done on cd3?

I am just trying to figure out if my number should ever be that high.

Re: FSH level...

Most clinics will accept CD 2 and $ as well.

I knwo for the IVF grant at NSUH 10 is the cut off. I talked to the dr into allowing an 11, but I got lucky with wheatgrass and lowered it....Mines normally around 12.

if your fsh was not checked on CD 3 the results are moot and SHAME on your dr if he did not know/tell you that. The only other time they check fsh is CD 10 after clomid which is called the clomid challenge test(you can google this for more info)

FSH is sort of like the gasoline that is put out to tell your ovaries to release an egg. Ifyou have diminished reserve your body is working harder, earlier in your cycle to make that happen. Therefore if you check your fsh on CD 12 lets say, it would be higher because it is doing what its supposed to.

It was not done CD 3, I know he said that since my cycles are very very long, 3 months at a time, it would be hard to do it CD 3...... i am going to have to call the office tomorrow and ask them that myself.

Re: FSH level...

mine was done on CD4..I think this could have some impact on my high reading.

Cornell is asking for CD2..I think there could be a little difference at least.

Starting wheatgrass from Jamba Juice tomorrow and will be part of my program and acupuncture on Friday.

I know my level can't be 18..even the doc thought it was a little higher than it should be for my age.

Hmmm...

I think you may have a point about your FSH...I'm thinking the way you are.

Do you have PCOS? Are you on any treatment to shorten your cycles. I should have said fsh can probably be tested anytime between CD 2-4 or even 5 every clinic does it differently. However if you were on CD 47 or something that number si not accurate. I would assume they would give you provera and then test 3 days after you get AF. I would also switch Dr's
