Fuel surcharge!!
I am trying to book a ticket for my Mom to come out from Ireland not only is the ticket 860 euro Aer Lingus is adding 175 euro in fuel surcharges to that.

Aer Lingus was just running a special for no fuel surcharge for travel from late august to early october. I'm not sure when it ends though.
Also try Delta

I agree. Try Delta. Their prices are comparable. Also, if you don't mind going to NJ, Continental might be a good bet.
