Full Day 3 year old Programs
For those of you that have your 3 year old enrolled in a full day school program or daycare, how long (how many hours) are they there for?
Thanks!

Re: Full Day 3 year old Programs
Thank you. My DD will most likely be doing 3 full days starting in September and then 5 full days sometime in October, when I return to work from maternity leave. A full day is from 8:30 - 4 and on occasion it might be 7:30-5 when we need the extended hours. A few people mentioned that it seemed like a really long day (as if I didn't feel bad enough ) so I was just curious.

Re: Full Day 3 year old Programs
Her “program” was from 8:30am to 2:45pm, but we dropped her off between 7:30-8:15am and pick her up between 5:30-6:00pm. On Fridays we are more likely to pick her up closer to 6:30pm (closing time) and mornings we have doctor appts, etc we are most likely to drop her off at the earlier 7:30.
So at most 11hours 7:30-6:30 At least 9hours (if I had to take a guess)
Generally picking her up is a longer ordeal than dropping her off. She wants to stay and play with all her friends, etc.
Same program hours apply this year at 4.

I love that- the people who say- oh that's a really long day. Well um, what do you suggest I do, drop down to part time? I am obviously working full time for a reason and therefore she needs to be there for as long as I am at work. And they act as if they are out in the field working the harvest- oh that's a long day of hard labor! they are playing and having fun and learning- just the same as at home!
