Full or twin size bed for toddler: where?

Moms who moved their toddlers to a full or twin size bed after the crib--where did you buy the bed and what kind of rails did you get? I am confused about the rails the most: are they suppose to cover the length of the whole bed leaving just a little open space at the end or do they cover only half the length?

I have been looking up some bed rails on line and most of them have really bad reviews.Chat Icon I am also not sure where to buy the bed, besides Target or PBK...

Hi,

DD is 24 months and we bought her a Full sized bed about a month and ahalf ago.

We bought a platform bed from Ikea and got the mattress from Fun a kit.

We bought rails from BRU... I think they were especially for baby brand.

Not sure if they are supposed to be the entire length of the bed..ours aren't. I put them about a foot away from the headboard.

Hope this helps!

we will be getting Bella a twin size bed when she grows out of her crib...

I would like to match it to the ridiculously overpriced dresser we have...but I don't know where we would look specifically.

We plan on getting Kevin a twin sized bed. Haven't looked into rails yet. We are thinking a race car bed. Most likely we will start shopping at Behrs for his furniture since that is where we bought our nursery stuff. Our crib converts to a full sized bed so one day child will probably have one but I figure Kevin is a boy and what does he really need with a full sized bed...

This store has cute stuff online - I get the catalog ...
