Fun Anniversary gift ideas?
Friends of ours were married the same year as us. They started this cute tradition of getting us [mostly silly, but a few practical] anniversary gifts based on the "traditional wedding anniversary list". So we then get them their gift based on the "modern list". It ends up being fun and a lot of laughs are shared at how warped we can interpret the listed item.
DH and I don't even bother with that list, we don't even exchange anniv gifts anymore!
The gift exchange with our friends is more for the challenge of coming up with creative and clever twists on the item of that anniversary year. this year's 'modern' is diamond. We're thinking a can of diamond walnuts, a Neil Diamond CD, something with Dustin Diamond...etc.
Any ideas that won't break the bank, but that fit with the diamond thing?

Diamonds are a girls best friend dvd or cd - Marilyn Monroe or Madonna. I think they even made a barbie doll to look like this.
One of those huge diamond paperweights - they look like an e-ring.
