Fun kids party-reasonable price
Hi Moms, I just wanted to let you all know about a fun birthday party we attended. Everyone knows how crazy $$$$$$$$$ kids parties on Long Island are.
For Ava's first B-Day we rented a tent, had the food catered and hired an Elmo-$1,500. For her second, we at it at The party Jungle in Commack- $750
So I decided I'd better find a way to "Stop the insanity".
My cousin had her sons 4th Birthday party yesterday at Burger King in Wantagh. It was adorable, the kids loved it and it was cheap.....They have a closed off play area that you get for 2 hours. Each kid gets a Happy Meal, drink and toy. It costs $7 pp, the same for an adult and they can order any value meal. All she brought were some balloons, cupcakes and favors. There was a hostess who served and cleaned up. All it cost for about 20 kids and parents was about $150. The kids had a ball.
So there are ways to still have fun and not spend a fortune!!! Call me crazy, But I just booked Ava's 3rd Birthday there for July!!!! I know it's a little early, but I am hoping to be very pregnant at the time, and don't want to have tooo much else to worry about..

Re: Fun kids party-reasonable price
I was going to have my sons party there and then decided to go a different route that was "more" (more expensive and more stuff to do never again) but in the end, I think the Burger King party would have been a better choice. I even could have hired a character as well and still spent alot less than I did. They told me $10 per kid though... I wonder why the different price. I might end up doing my daughters bday there, it is nice and clean and nicely enclosed.
