fun theme restaurant
I'm looking for a really fun restaurant in NYC for a group of girls (bachelorette party). Must have good food. I've been to Lucky Cheng's and although it is fun, the food is not that good. Any suggestions?

Re: fun theme restaurant
I had my bach party (and have attended a few other bach parties) at Lips...I thought the food was pretty good.
They have a new location now; it's no longer in the Village.
Definitely call and make reservations...they book up for the weekends well in advance!

And I agree with the previos post, Lips is another good one.
People also enjoy the 80's prom but I believe that is just a club, the others that I mentioned are for dinner.

Re: fun theme restaurant
Tao is awesome. The theme is asian and the decor is so cool and really unique, dimly lit, cool tables.
For example our table was over a huge marble bath with rose pedals. There was an enormous Buddha statue behind us.
Food was really good and they made great drinks. Also it turns into a club later.

Re: fun theme restaurant
okay not a theme restaurant at all, but if everyone is into sushi/japanese...
go to sushi samba on 7th.... ask to do a "tasting menu" - it's incredible! the upstairs has a really nice ambience...
we got things like crispy yellowtail taquitos, salt & pepper squid, miso-glazed sea bass, a few different rolls, some delicious meat with various dipping sauces (chimichurri & others) etc. it's so delicious!
