Fun things to do with a 1 yr old this time of year?
I want to do something fun with my 1 yr old for her 1st bday on her actual bday (since her party is not on the actual day) but, I need ideas this time of year, with my DS it was so easy we had the beach, parks, zoo, white post, acquarium - but, what do you do in the freezing cold? I also have a 3 yr old.

LICM and then go next door and take her on the Nunley's Carousel. That is a big hit with DD#2 and we did that several times last summer.
What about an indoor play place?
The aquarium is open and mostly indoors (NY aquarium) so that is still an option in the winter.

Atlantis Marine World has a huge indoor aquarium... we took DS over the summer when he was about 10 months. He had the most fun inside.

I second, or third? the aquarium idea! DS has always been transfixed and excited by it all, we live near Coney Island so we go there, but I think they are all the same from a 1 yo perspective.
