Fun weekend trip
I decided to take the kids on a quick roadtrip and yesterday we took the Port Jeff ferry over to Bridgeport.
From there we went to Dinosaur State Park which is about an hour from the ferry. It was nice, probably more fun in warmer weather when you can walk around more outdoors and make a cast of a dinosaur footprint, but both kids liked it anyway.
On our way to our hotel in New Haven we stopped at Kidcity Children's Museum which was about 15 mins from Dinosaur State Park and 35 mins from New Haven. Both kids LOVED it, and Kidcity is free if you are a Long Island Children's Museum member, which is a nice little bonus.
This morning we went to the Yale Peabody Musem which was really nice. Parking is kind of a PITA, you're better off finding street parking.
Then we went to the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport which was about 40 mins from New Haven and 10 mins from the ferry.
After the zoo we took the ferry back. So a quick trip but lots of fun.
